Students at Storefront are assessed at the worksite, in the classroom and in the community.
Students' independence and work skills are evaluated through alternative reports. These reports are completed by Storefront staff and issued in November, February, April and June.
Students are also formally evaluated based on their work placement performance after five weeks on the job (mid-term evaluation). This evaluation is completed by the work placement supervisor. Information provided from this helps establish the goals for skill development for the remainder of the placement. A final work evaluation is completed towards the end of the work placement. Employers are asked to compare the students to their paid staff, to help determine what employability skills they have acquired and what they still need to learn.
