Important Update

Dear Students:

We hope that this message finds you well and that you are taking good care of yourself and that your families are well too.

As you likely know, the Premier of the Province, Doug Ford, and the Minister of Education, Steven Lecce made an announcement this week.  As a result, our Director of Education (our boss - Camille Williams-Taylor) sent an email letter to families yesterday. For the rest of this week, staff will be continuing to connect with students to check in.  Next week, beginning on April 6th, teachers and educational assistants will begin to connect with you with more learning opportunities. We want to make sure that you are still taking good care of yourselves so your work will be limited to three hours per week per course - so about 12 hours.  We are going to start this really slowly so there is no need to feel any extra stress about starting to learn again. You will have our total support. The District is also working on a plan - for those students who we know don’t have a chrome book or wifi at home.

The following link is the letter that Camille Williams-Taylor sent to families.  https://ocdsb.ca/news/extension_of_school_closures_and_next_steps

We don’t want you to worry - we are all here to help you and your teachers and educational assistants are eager to assist with your learning.

Please take good care of yourselves.  We hope to see you soon! We miss seeing you all at school and hope to see you soon.
